Boo-nana Pops | Simple Halloween Recipe For Kids
If you’re spending Halloween at home this year it’s helpful to have some extra sweet treats planned.
Although trick or treating might not be doable there are still plenty of activities to keep your little devils entertained and their sweet tooth suitably satisfied!
These super simple Boo-nana Pops are great if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to buckets of candy and chocolate. You can even use raisins to create the ghost faces if you want a more fruity twist.
Encourage your child to get involved in the kitchen when making these Boo-nana Pops. Kids can help to peel the bananas, add lolly sticks and get dipping in the chocolate! It’s also loads of fun to encourage their creative side when adding decoration and faces to their ghostly snacks.
Let’s Make the Yummy Boo-nana Pops
Makes six boo-nana pops.
You Will Need
- 3 bananas
- 200g white chocolate
- Chocolate chips (or raisins)
- Lolly sticks
- Icing pens
What To Do:
1 Melt the white chocolate over a pan of boiling water (or in 30 second increments in the microwave).
2 Peel the bananas and chop them in half.
3 Push a lolly stick into each banana half.
4 Dip the bananas into the white chocolate.
5 Add two chocolate chips (or raisins) to make eyes.
6 Refrigerate for two hours. Once set, use icing pens to create ghostly faces. Return to the fridge for another half hour.
7 Serve at your Halloween party!
