Time for an extra special colouring activity! Our printable colour in mandala is a great way to encourage kids to focus, while letting their creativity flow freely.
Mandalas are beautiful, geometric patterns that people use to help them meditate (meditate means to “think deeply” about something). Drawing and colouring in mandalas can help you to clear your mind by focussing your attention on the beautiful patterns.
Mandalas are often used in Buddhism and Hinduism as a symbol of the universe, and are used as an aid during meditation.
Lots of people enjoy colouring in mandalas to help them to relax at the end of the day. As you enjoy this activity try to concentrate on the shapes and colours of the mandala, it could help to clear your head of any pesky thoughts or feelings that are bothering you, or help you to see things in a different way.
Why not colour mandalas as a group? Quietly colouring in together is a great way to enjoy a peaceful activity as a family.
